3 best VOIP apps for free calls

3 best VOIP apps for free calls

Needing to get an international calling plan isn’t necessary anymore, seeing as there are so many apps that let you place calls to your friends and relatives abroad, and also locally of course, for free. Aside from Skype, Viber and the like, there are other apps that we deem as being the best for making VOIP(voice-over-internet-protocol) calls via Wi-Fi or your mobile data (3G/4G). Here are three that you should consider using.© AndroidPITFacebook MessengerI’ve actually just started usingFacebook Messenger's new free calling fture, which arrived just last month. I’ve alrdy used it a bunch of times and I have to say that I am rlly surprised at how well it worked and how grt the sound quality was! I called my family in Canada, and the sound was way better than using Skype or the normal telephone. Calling my mom’s phone that only runs Android 2.0 also worked like a charm, both for her and for me. All in all, I can rlly recommend Facebook Messenger for making VOIP calls for local and international calls.© AndroidPITFacebook MessengerINSTALLBoltBolt is a relatively new VOIP app to add to the list of the likes of Skype, Viber, etc, but it has one advantage that the others don’t: Bolt combines free calling services with a complete phone dialer app, which replaces the stock one on your Android device. This way you don’t have to constantly switch to a specialized app to place your internet call. As soon as two Bolt members call ch other, the call will automatically switch to VOIP, using your mobile data and not minutes from your call plan. Bolt's CEO says that the average Bolt call uses 60 KB of data per minute, providing users with 35,000 minutes of talk time on a 2 GB smartphone data plan. That’s a pretty good dl! If you're on Wi-Fi it won't cost you athing.Nowjust tell your friends and family to get Bolt.Install Bolt for free from the Google Play Store.© BoltTalkatone free calls with Google VoiceThe last one may not be for everyone as it is only available in the USA, seeing as it uses Google Voice, which is only available on American soil. Talkatone is grt because it offers free VOIP calls across Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G networks, as opposed to some other apps that will only make use of data networks when you pay for an upgrade. Ifyou don’tlive in the USA, you can install GrooVe IP, but you will need to pay for using mobile data. Google Voice may be scrapped by Google in the nr future, and the call fture will be added to Google’s Hangouts app instd. But for the time being, Talkatone will do the trick. To set up Talkatone, install it on your Android and sign in with your Google account, which will then prompt a two-step verifiion via a Google web browser, where you must receive a that is then used on the app.© TalkatoneTalkatone free calls + textingINSTALLHave you used any of these?
